Dr Fraser Brims is a Consultant Respiratory and General Physician at UCL Hospitals and Honorary Senior Lecturer at University College London. Fraser is also a Surgeon Commander in the Royal Navy, with more than 16 years experience of remote medicine and trauma in challenging areas. He studied medicine in Leicester and his training included a years overseas fellowship in Perth, Western Australia, specialising in pleural disease. Fraser was awarded Doctor of Medicine in 2008; his research interests are wide, including clinical aspects of pleural disease, examination of genetic factors associated with bone fracture and tendon disorders, and muscle loss associated with multiorgan failure in intensive care. Fraser is also an instructor and faculty member of the Rugby Football Union Pitchside Immediate Trauma Care Course.
