UCH Macmillan Cancer Centre

Cancer Centre

Our new Cancer Centre will open in Spring 2012. This brand new, purpose-built facility will redefine cancer care by putting the needs of patients at the centre of care. Highly specialist staff will provide care from cancer-specific zones, ensuring that patients have immediate access to the very best treatment, support and advice for their particular type of cancer.

We want to utilise the best available technology and challenge existing patterns of working to transform the patient experience. We want to offer not just treatment for cancer, but a service that provides practical and emotional support for the issues that may arise from living with cancer. We are delighted that Macmillan Cancer Support has invested £10 million to help us towards this aim.

The Centre, located in Huntley Street (on the site of the former Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Obstetric Hospital) will cost £100 million to build. The UCLH Charitable Foundation is fundraising £30 million towards the cost of the Centre - click here to donate.
