General and Interventional cardiology

General and Interventional cardiology

The general and interventional cardiology department at The Heart Hospital cares for patients with coronary artery disease, valve disease, and simple arrythmias not requiring specialist electrophysiology.

Diagnostic tests which are not performed on the day of clinic (run from University College Hospital) are normally carried out within a few days of the request and most of these can be booked before leaving the clinic. Our aim is to ensure all patients needing procedures wait no longer than eight weeks from the time they are placed on the waiting list.

We have a large number of visiting Consultants from other hospitals in the London area who bring their patients to The Heart Hospital for the high quality care and treatment we provide. We have close links with Yale University in the US and their clinicians visit us regularly to work with our team. In this way patients can benefit from a wide range of innovative procedures.
