If a child or adolescent requires an urgent appointment, GPs, community midwives, health visitors or social services can refer a patient to our rapid referral clinic. This is a pre-booked service.
Acutely ill child, who needs immediate attention – should be sent directly to Accident and Emergency.
For a baby with prolonged jaundice (14+ days):
- if the child is otherwise well, should be referred to the ANNP clinic on the neonatal unit by contacting 07903 358839
- if the child is also unwell, can be referred to the rapid referral clinic.

Opening Hours
Open Monday to Friday from 10am - 12 midday.
Please fax a referral to 020 3447 9381 (We will contact the patient using the contact telephone number you provide, to arrange an appointment within 24 hours of receipt of referral).

Important Information for all referrals
In addition to the clinical details, please include the following in the referral:
- Full name (and sex)
- Date of birth
- NHS number
- Up to date address and contact details (including a mobile phone number)
- GP details
