Maternity care for private patients

We know that having a baby is one of the most exciting moments of anyone’s life and that’s why we are delighted you are considering having your baby with us. If you need to give birth via a caesarean section, we will do everything we can to make it as stress-free as possible. The Fitzrovia Suite brings together luxurious and peaceful surroundings, world class doctors and midwives and all the reassurance of the extensive facilities of the best NHS Trust in London.*

Unfortunately we are currently unable to accept women who are not eligible for NHS care.

The Fitzrovia suite, located within the Elizabeth Garrett Anderson Wing of University College Hospital, offers accommodation in two beautiful en-suite rooms. All women who deliver within the Fitzrovia suite have access to:

  • High quality Obstetric care with provision for complications of pregnancy if necessary
  • Private Midwifery care
  • Obstetric Theatres
  • Anaesthetists
  • Paediatricians

If clinically required babies will have access to:

  • The Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)
  • The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)

In order to enable us to provide you with the best possible care, we request that you make your booking (through your Consultant's secretary) at least two weeks in advance. This is so that we can coordinate your care to the highest standard.
