Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST Ingredients: Are they effective?
It’s hard to tell given the dosages. Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST is made up of a proprietary blend.
This is when a supplement manufacturer chooses to hide the individual dosages of the ingredients used in their product. Instead, all the ingredients are put together under one larger dosage.
If you don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, how can you know how effective it really is?
It’s hard. To make up for it, we’ve done the research on each ingredient to give you a better idea of what it’s claimed to do, and what’s it’s actually capable of.
Horny Goat Weed
If you’re looking for the Horny Goat Weed in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST to help with your testosterone – we may have some bad news for you.
Also known as Epimedium, Horny Goat Weed hasn’t been seen to do so in any recorded study. However, it does have other benefits that may appeal to you here.
Horny Goat Weed has been seen in some tests to help boost libido and sex drive. This may give you some benefit, but nothing direct when it comes to improving testosterone levels.
Also named Longjack and Eurycoma Longifolia, this is another ingredient which has similar benefits to Horny Goat Weed.
By this we mean that it may not help boost your testosterone levels in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST.
However, this isn’t the full story. There are some studies which show Longjack can help raise testosterone – however, it has only been seen to work in animals. Similar results have not been observed in humans.
The most you can get out of it here is a mild boost in libido.
This isn’t a testosterone boosting ingredient in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST. It’s more of a ‘male health’ ingredient.
Saw Palmetto has been seen to help prostate health. More specifically, Saw Palmetto can help hyperplasia (enlarged prostate).
Although not as effective as actual medicine for an enlarged prostate, Saw Palmetto can be a good natural aid in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST to help support the function of the organ.
This however, is not a good choice in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST. It’s more marketing hype than anything else.
So, what is orchic substance? It’s bovine testes – bull testicles. Some claim that it can help improve your overall ‘macho-ness’ given the high testosterone levels of a bull.
They’re also a traditional meal in some parts of America and sold under the name ‘Rocky Mountain Oysters’.
Orchic Substance is an interesting choice for this testosterone booster. Unfortunately, however, it’s not an effective one.
This is another ingredient which may not deliver on its claims in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST.
Wild Yams are more commonly used in the supplements industry to help with the menopause. The idea in this supplement may be to help manage your levels of the female hormone estrogen.
By keeping your estrogen levels under control, it may be easier for your body to raise testosterone levels. However, there is currently no connection found between Wild Yams and testosterone – it may not be an effective choice for you here in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST.
This could be a better choice in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST too.
Sarsaparilla is believed by some to help improve testosterone levels. However, there are no studies to confirm this.
That said, it may be able to help you in other ways. Other studies show that Sarsaparilla may be able to help to some extent with cognition.
This could give you better mental clarity and focus, which would help a better mental state duringn a workout.
This is a nice addition to Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST, and could improve free testosterone levels.
Free testosterone is the amount of the male hormone which is freely circulating in your blood. It works by how the components in the nettle interact with a protein in your blood known as Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHGB).
SHBG naturally binds to the protein in your blood and strips its anabolic potency. This makes it ineffective. Nettle helps by inhibiting the SHBG and reducing it’s overall influence, allowing more testosterone in your system to be unaffected.
The more free testosterone you have, the more testosterone you have available to you overall.
This the final ingredient in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST, and it’s a good one. Boron has been seen in numerous studies to help boost testosterone levels and even reduce estrogen levels (the female hormone) in some cases.
It’s a good choice in this supplement, and there’s some evidence to support the claims made about it.
Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST: Ingredients Summary
There are some good ingredients in this supplement, but we have to point out that proprietary blend first.
You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting – it’s incredibly difficult to know how effective it really is.
The things we like in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST are the Nettle and the Boron – unfortunately there doesn’t seem to be much else going for it.
It’s better at supporting your libido, than it is helping your testosterone levels.
Are there any side effects in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST?
Not that we’ve seen reported, but with a proprietary blend you can never be too careful.
The ingredients in here do appear to be safe. They are natural and rarely cause problems unless you’re allergic. However, if you’re unsure you should always speak to your doctor before using it.
When it comes to supplements, your health comes first. Always.
What would uclh.org change in Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST?
The first thing we would address here is the proprietary blend. Transparency over the dosages is definitely needed.
The next thing we would do is remove the Horny Goat Weed, Orchic Extract and Wild Yams. We’d replace them with Zinc, Mucuna Prurients, D-Aspartic Acid and Luteolin.
Why? Because Zinc and D-Aspartic Acid can directly improve your brain’s levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH) which is your body’s precursor to Testosterone and Growth Hormone.
Mucuna Pruriens (also known as Velvet Bean) contain L-DOPA which improve your Gonadtropic-Releasing Hormone levels (GnRH) which is a precursor to LH.
It’s all about that LH if you want higher testosterone levels.
Luteolin on the other hand works as an aromatase inhibitor, which may help to reduce your estrogen levels.
They’d all be great in here.
Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST Review Summary
On the whole, this isn’t the best testosterone booster that we’ve come across on the market.
We have several problems which stop us from recommending it.
- Some ineffective ingredients – Not all ingredients in here promote testosterone.
- Missing key nutrients – More study backed ingredients would help Alpha Strength Labs ULTRA TEST.
- Proprietary blend – You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it is overall.
