Nugenix Testosterone Booster

This is our review of the Nugenix Testosterone Booster, a supplement from the company of the same name with claims to promote:

  1. Energy
  2. Testosterone
  3. Strength
  4. Libido
  5. Muscle Mass

But how well will this “free testosterone booster” work for you? In this report, we look closer at the ingredients in Nugenix, the servings, how to take it and just generally how effective it is.

Here’s the essentials that we think you need to know about Nugenix.

Nugenix Testosterone Booster

Nugenix Price

Nugenix costs between $30.00 – 60.00. Depending on which website you use, you will get an entirely different deal.

GNC currently sells Nugenix for $57.99 whereas Walgreens sell Nugenix for $34.99. Nearly half the price for the same product.

We recommend that you do some research before you buy Nugenix to make sure you get the best deal. It really is a free-for-all on the market at the moment when it comes to the retail price of Nugenix Testosterone Booster.

Nugenix Dosage

Nugenix’s dosage is 2103 mg which comes from the Nugenix Free Testosterone Complex. However, we have some issues with it.

As we’ll get into later, this just one figure for several ingredients (also known as a proprietary blend) you don’t know the individual dosages of the main ingredients.

This makes it especially hard to know how effective it really is.

With this in mind, it makes it hard for us to give a real opinion on the Nugenix dosage. Mainly becasue it’s hard to know what you’re actually getting.

How to take Nugenix

Take 3 capsules of Nugenix daily with water on an empty stomach.

This is good for getting a big amount of this testosterone booster in your system – but may not be the best method for maximum results.

Ideally, you want a testosterone booster built for taking several servings throughout the day. This may be a better idea as it gives your body a constant supply of the nutrients you need to keep your testosterone levels on the rise.

Nugenix Ingredients

  • Vitamin B-6 (as Pyridoxine Hydrochloride) – 2 mg
  • Vitamin B-12 (as Methylcobalamin) – 50 mcg
  • Zinc (as Zinc Chelate) – 1 mg
  • Nugenix Free Testosterone Complex – 2103 mg
    • L-Citrulline Malate
    • Testofen Fenugreek Seed Extract (50% Fenuside)
    • Tribulus (fruit)

As you can see, and as we’ve mentioned before, a lot of Nugenix is one big proprietary blend known as their ‘Nugenix Free Testosterone Complex’.

It sounds impressive, but it doesn’t tell you what you’re actually getting in this testosterone booster when it comes to the dosage.

Not only that, in our opinion, only a handful of the ingredients in Nugenix are doing the heavy lifting when it comes to results: the Zinc and the Fenugreek.

Below, we look closer at the main ingredients in Nugenix to see how effective they really are and if they can be improved.

Nugenix Ingredients

  • Zinc (as Zinc Chelate)

A great start to Nugenix. Zinc is a mineral which has links promoting testosterone production.

It does this through chemical reactions in your brain, which help to promote your overall levels of the Luteinizing Hormone (LH).

LH is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone. The more of it you have in your system, the more support those hormones have to grow.

  • L-Citrulline Malate

This is a less effective testosterone booster in Nugenix – by that we mean it doesn’t raise T.

However, it can help in other ways. L-Citrulline Malate has been seen in studies to help promote your overall levels of L-Arginine after being absorbed. This means it can improve your blood flow and overall muscle pumps.

This can help your endurance in the gym and help you train more effectively for longer.

However, there’s another issue with the Citrulline in Nugenix. You need a lot to make it work, studies show that you need between 4000 – 6000 mg per daily serving to get the most out of this amino acid.

It’s unlikely that there’s that much in here.

  • Testofen Fenugreek Seed Extract (50% Fenuside)

Fenugreek is a much better option in Nugenix. Fenugreek is an all natural and traditional Indian herb which can help raise libido and testosterone.

It does this mainly by helping to regulate your blood sugar. In doing so it can help to reduce your insulin levels which can directly lower your testosterone levels when high.

By using Fenugreek, Nugenix Testosterone Booster can help keep your insulin levels in check and allow your testosterone more room to rise.

  • Tribulus (fruit)

Tribulus Terrestris is the final ingredient we’re covering in this Nugenix review – and it’s not a good one.

Despite claims to raise testosterone, there’s not much evidence out there to show that using Tribulus actually works to raise T.

It has only been seen to have some effect in animal studies. The main area it seems to boost in humans is libido – aside from that, you’re not getting much from this ingredient.

Nugenix Ingredient Label Overview

As you can see, it’s mainly a big proprietary blend, and this can lead to problems. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting or how effective it may be overall.

Another issue is that there are several ingredients that we believe are missing from Nugenix, which would really help it to stand out. We say this because it claims to be a “free testosterone booster” but doesn’t actually have any nutreints which actively promote this.

To remedy this issue, we recommend Magnesium and Stinging Nettle to be included in Nugenix. Both can help inhibit the Sex Hormone Binding Globulin protein in your body which binds to testosterone and reduces it’s overall potency and freedom. By using Magnesium and Stinging Nettle you can help to reduce the overall influence of SHBG in your system.

Nugenix Side Effects

To our knowledge, there have been no side effects reported from using the Nugenix Testosterone Booster. There is nothing in this nutrient profile that could cause problems at these low dosages.

We also ask that you that you be wary of the Zinc, however. If you have a lot of Zinc in your diet already this could cause problems.

Nugenix Reviews Reddit

Reddit reviewers hate Nugenix. We’ve actually never seen such venomous hate of a testosterone booster. A lot of this appears to stem from the amount of advertising Nugenix do.

You can hear about Nugenix on the radio, TV and is now being sold in stores like GNC. When it comes to testosterone boosters, it’s one of the most well-known testosterone boosters on the market – which will attract a lot of critics.

As you can see, it’s not a popular product over there. However, you do have to take it with a grain of salt given the amount of presence this supplement has in the industry.

Nugenix Scam

We don’t think Nugenix is a scam – but the fine print on the free trial needs addressing. There is some talk that Nugenix is a scam, and that people that use it risk being repeatedly billed after they purchase it.

This is one of the sneakier tactics in the supplement industry, although legal, it can catch you out. It typically comes when you get offered a free trial. They send you the product, but then have the supplement lined up to be shipped again straight after your free trial and charge you at full price continuously until you cancel it.

Make sure you always read the fine print before taking a free trial from anywhere – especially if they ask for your payment details for something like shipping and handling.

Nugenix Free Trial

With the Nugenix Free Trial, they send you a sample of the product with the intention that if you don’t like that you’re going to cancel it.

If you don’t cancel it, they start billing your card until you do. If you don’t want this to happen, cancel the free trial with Nugenix as soon as you receive your free sample.

You can’t do this by email either, you need to call them on 1-855-714-3234 at least a day before they ship it out to cancel Nugenix.

Nugenix Reviews | Does Nugenix Work?

Nugenix has some ingredients which may promote testosterone, and could work to an extent – but it’s far from the best we’ve seen.

The main issue is that proprietary blend. You don’t know how much of each ingredient you’re getting, so how can you know how effective it really is overall? It could be very under-dosed. Especially when the main ingredients carrying it are just the Zinc and Fenugreek. A lot more could be added to help improve Nugenix.

If you’re looking for it to be your salvation for low testosterone – you’re unlikely to see it save you.

It’s a good supporting supplement for a proper testosterone boosting stack, and should always be combined with good diet and exercise.

But it shouldn’t be your main option for raising testosterone, there are far better out there.
